These new homes, are built to last about 20-40 years. Even structurally, the 2x4's and I-joists, I seriously think they may not last 40 years. A scary accusation, but, at least those old houses had dimensional lumber and were going to stand. I don't trust the new building methodologies, they are NOT tried and tested, they are just cheap.
