If you are unhappy with an NHS board's final decision, you can ask the Scottish Public Services Ombudsman (SPSO) to review your complaint. The NHS Complaints Procedure requires Health Boards to consider conciliation or mediation services to help resolve a complaint where it is appropriate and all of the parties involved agree. NHS Highland is working in partnership with the Scottish Government and Scottish Mediation Network to use mediation in complaints handling within NHS Scotland.
