There was a charge of $1.95 for the first 30 days and then $14.95 each month thereafter -- all because I thought Norm Thompson was encouraging repeat customers with a $15 off offer! But Norm Thompson is not the administrator of Norm Thompson Rewards (go figure). The company that runs this neat little scam is Encore Marketing International.

Jan 31, 2013 · My 80-something mother somehow got enrolled in the Norm Thompson Rewards program. She was charged $1.95 the first month and then $14.95 in subsequent months. After 6 months or so she asked for my help in getting the charges stopped as she said she had already spoken to Norm Thompson and had already filed disputes with her credit card company.

To my amazement when reviewing my bill further I notice another charge this one is from Norm Thompson for the exact same amount $14.95 and immediately called and canceled to which I was told the exact same thing that it was a charge for a rewards program that they said I signed up for a 30 day free trial when I placed my order in April 2015.
