Oct 05, 2009 · When we did the motor General Crankshaft out of St. Pete Florida went over the crank and rods and they were fine. Had the set up balanced and had no problems. They do clean up and large number of scat and eagle cranks and told me I would not be happy with them. That's when I found Ohio and gave them a shot This is in a street car on pump gas....

Oct 05, 2009 · If you go over to FN you can read about some negative experiences with the Ohio Crankshaft cranks-the oil slinger isn't properly sized, requiring you to have it re-machined to fit in the block (not my idea of what a RTR crank should be).

Oct 17, 2010 · Customer weighted the Ohio crank @ 103 and it was not a billet. Ohio crank had a crack and is the reason it was replaced. Shipping weight was 75 lbs on the Crower crank (according to Fed Ex label on the box ) so I guess my blue light special scale is off. Ohio crank has 4.500" stroke and the Crower was 4.750".

Jul 31, 2010 · Well I have been looking into the two brand names for a 383 crankshaft.Seems both have have a questionable history.Both,from what I understand,are China imports.Where the Scat is finished machined here in the U.S. and Eagle is finished machined off shore.
