Dec 18, 2019 · Review: I received a violation from the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission for not paying a toll. I paid my toll and the picture they sent did in no way confirm their allegation. This is fraudulent and I am appealing the notice.

on the way home, I found a route to avoid the PA turnpike, ohio toll road and the indiana toll road all at the same time. sure it was an additional 50 miles drive, but it saved me over $50 in tolls, so it was well worth it in my opinion. I will NEVER drive this road again unless absolutely necessary.1.5/5(41)

None that I can think of.... RT. 81 may be a bit less crowded and does not have tolls. In PA, the turnpike would not give you an advantage coming from Ottawa and heading to Florida.

Both are toll roads. Frankly, unless you are caught in heavy traffic at a toll booth, the EZ Pass is not really worth it for a single trip as the time savings might add up to no more than a cumulative few minutes for the entire trip. As one poster pointed out, the PA Turnpike is narrow, with traffic separated by concrete barriers in many places.
