I've worked with Ritz-Craft homes and been to the plant and most of the companies in PA. There are a few plants that put out a product that as a builder you are happy to turn over the keys to the house because you know the quality. Modular construction is like anything else in this world where you have choices. There is the good, better and best.

Richcraft is horrible, unless you are buying their million dollar homes, in which case they use a different crew that is actually very good. Minto and Mattamy are terrible and frankly, not up to even basic building code. I place these guys among the worst. I hated doing Ashcroft homes and so only worked with them for maybe a summer.

Been living in a Mattamy home for about six months and the house is barely a year old. The roof leaked during th winter. The countertop has a nice crack running through it (which Mattamy tried to blame on my roommate because he keeps a coffee maker on the counter) and my personal favorite: the switch for the fan in my bathroom controls ALL of the A/C vents in the house.
