Mar 22, 2011 · I was so excited to be able to drive again when I had my Smart Start Interlock device installed in Dec.2010. Finally after a year of a revoked license, time in jail, thousands in fines and fees, AA classes, 80 something hours of "counseling" I chose Smart Start because I could have installed in Az but have serviced in Ca if I were there.

Aug 28, 2012 · Smart Start Interlock. I agree, this Smart Start Interlock is a terrible company. THeir equipment never works and some of the staff that answers their phone are very rude. I have never blown positive into this, yet it has prevented me from driving numerous times because of faulty equipment.

The Smart Start SSI-20/30 I could have paid more for a rental of another, more advanced unit, but I felt sucked dry enough already by the process that I went for this one. It’s a very basic unit, and I just wanted to comply with the law. I didn’t need features. The SSI-20/30 takes about an hour to install in your car.

I was very impressed with the courtesy extended to me. I was able to try the device before signing with LifeSafer. I was not able to pass with the "Smart Start" device. It ended up being the shape of the mouthpiece is why. I went almost three months without driving because of this. Kim in customer service was very patient and knowledgeable.
