Yes, I did contact Subaru America. Case number: 581029. I have contacted them via email three times, and by calling the 1-800 number twice. After contacting Subaru America via email and phone and after the mechanic from the Subaru dealership where I purchased my Baja told me that this was normal engine noise, I attempted to make another appointment with a different dealership.
