I don't take aromatase inhibitors but have friends who do and have never heard of Tamoxifen causing abdominal problems or fatty liver. Your oncologist should be able to tell you about any risk of that happening. Also, the package inserts should disclose this info about Tamoxifen, if it is known. Hope you can get answers soon.

This is a very important and frustrating issue. I too have noticed that my sex drive has all but disappeared since starting tamoxifen. I am not sure if this is listed as a side effect for the drug, but it is definitely real. You are right, we have to weigh the possible good the drug can do for us against the side effects.

May 12, 2016 · hi smacaroonie and topsy. i was put on tamoxifen back in june last year when i was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer . i should have had surgery 1st but as i was struggling to cope with a bitter divorce and sell my house the consultants thought it would be better to try and shrink the tumour with tamoxifen and zoladex injections .
