In its Public Defender guise, the cylinder window in the frame (thus the frame itself) has been expanded and elongated to accept the longer cylinder needed for the 2½-inch .410 shotshell.

Chambering the same .45 Colt and .410 shotshells as the other handguns in the Judge line, the Public Defender is built on a smaller frame (the 85 series frame), and is clearly designed for concealed carry.

Jul 06, 2018 · I own a Taurus Judge Public Defender and Rossi Circuit Judge. The elongated shape of the Public Defender makes it quite concealable, actually fits in a front pocket. Reminder to those who own the Circuit Judge, UNLIKE the Judge, there are 2 different chokes for firing .45 Long Colt bullets and .410 Gauge shot shells.

Sep 14, 2016 · The basic Judge is a Colt 45 DA/SA Taurus revolver with a 5-bullet barrel and a trademark orange sight on the front end of the barrel. Models: Taurus Judge, Taurus Judge Public Defender, Taurus Judge Magnum, Taurus 505 Raging Judge; CIA Taurus Revolvers. No, the CIA Taurus Firearms are not used by the CIA. At least not exclusively.
