Mar 05, 2012 · Unethical practices. I have fallen victim to US BUILDINGS as well. These guys are as unethical as you can get. My story is the same as most on here. I called the 800 number and got a sales representative who, was as slimy as they get. He pitched me on the same "clearance", "only 3 left", "limited time offer" thing that everyone else was pitched.

US Buildings is a crooked outfit that fails to live up to their end of contracts and then unlawfully retains deposits unless you sue them. I ordered a building from them a few years ago; and I still haven't gotten my deposit back despite several phone calls to their Boone, NC office, certified letters, and a formal complaint process with the NC Attorney General's Office.

I Googled pole barns & got a link to US Buildings Direct. I clicked to get a price on the size steel building I wanted and instead got a contact form. I got a call back next day and I sure had lucky timing. Amazingly, the company had bought back 27 sheds from a local dealer who went out of business, supposedly in my county.
