The mortgage department is awful. Employees are overworked and managers do not have your back. I would go back to USAA but never to the Mortgage department. I'd rather be unemployed. And it's hard to put in for a different department once you're in Mortgage- they won't let you go.4/5(8)

USAA was the lien holder and also was the insurance company yet they cancelled my homeowners insurance due to non-occupancy. We were able to secure renters and have insurance reinstated. I just got a call from USAA and they told me their system showed the home was vacant. I sent them proof of renter occupancy over a year ago!

Jul 30, 2014 · I had a fine experience with USAA for my mortgage. It all happened in a timely fashion, and I had no complaints. However, they did sell the mortgage, to GMAC then OCWEN, so it's not like I benefit now from the awesome USAA customer service with regards to my mortgage.

In 2012 I applied for a home loan on a home that was a Fannie May retro as a “home path mortgage lender” That means the home is sold as is and requires no down payment or home inspection.
