Dec 25, 2008 · A common problem with the Mercury VERADO is a failure of the fuel vapor separator due to low tolerance to gasoline diluted with ethanol. During development of the VERADO most of the testing was probably done with pure gasoline.

If you read the threads in the mercury verado club there have been some problems with powerheads, sensors, superchargers, etc. How pervasive the problems are to-date and how much the owners are at faults (not following Mercury guidelines) would be difficult to ascertain.

Oct 03, 2009 · I ran my 150 Verado against a regular fishing partners 150 Yammy on comparable 18 ft boats loaded similarly and the 150 Yamaha would run right with my 150 Verado. It’s just my opinion, but for simplicity and solid performance in the 150 class I’d be looking at the Yammy if I were in the market.
