Feb 03, 2014 · My dads will is also with the public trustee and he is not well. Once the Public Trustee has started to act as the executor of the will it is too late to stop them. Power of attorney can be transferred as easily as writing on a piece of paper that you do not want the public trustee to handle the estate but whoever that is nominated.
