A friend recommended I try Zoysia grass. And he said it was a full year after planting before he noticed it starting to grow. So I ordered zoysia from Zoysia Farms 2 years ago and paid someone $300 to plant the plugs. The plugs I got also looked brown and dried up. We planted zoysia plugs years ago & they have spread quite a bit. We will be ordering more on a CREDIT CARD so that if they do not perform, we can file a billing dispute & get our money back. The zoysia is wonderful in the hot, humid and recently drought stricken Atlanta climate.
