In 2007, under the direction of the Health Quality Network (HQN), the HQCA first created the Patient Concerns/Complaints Resolution Provincial Framework to help organizations develop, implement, and refine processes to effectively manage the expression of concerns.
The new complaints procedure is being piloted form June – November by the Involvement and Communications Team. As this is a pilot there are new policies and procedures (these are based on Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) and Housing Quality Network (HQN) Accreditation standards) being introduced.
