Etsy is my go to! Etsy is the first place I have gone to buy things for a long time now, buying from small shop and an actual person gives me a happy heart. There are some incredible people selling on Etsy, creating handmade, vintage and up cycled items.

Etsy is not in favor of the seller, it lets all reviews stand even if the buyer threatens the seller in the communications. A customer contacting you a week after deliver to complain about a damaged item is no good for the shop, they cannot claim the delivery insurance, and is the main reason small businesses struggle. If your complaint is about this, Etsy will not get involved, if you leave a review about the delivery, the shop can ask to have it removed.

Etsy is a complete scam, there is zero support for the sellers, they withdraw wrong money, wrong tariff for currency convertion, and as there is zero support, you are on your own, as a European its hard to understand that this is actually legal, but hey this is the USA, the land of the cowboys... you either accept the scam of just stop using this service ;-)
